In this Premiere pro tutorial I'll show you how you can record a voiceover straight into premiere pro. This is useful if you don't have any other audio recording programs or if you just want a simple and fast workflow. I sometimes use this when I need to re-do a voiceover and it is truly useful sometimes. To set your audio levels you need to go to your recording setting on your computer. I’m gonna show you how to do a voice recording directly into the timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro, following 3 simple steps. The first thing you wanna do is to go up to the menu and click Premiere Pro, Preferences, and Audio. Here you want to make sure that you have the option “Mute input during timeline recording” selected because otherwise, you will get a weird echo in your recording. Then, go back to the timeline, and if you have an “In point” and “Out point” created, deselect that by clicking opt + X or alt + X on PC, otherwise, the recording will start at your “In point” rather than at your playhead. The final step is to change the audio settings in the timeline. If you don’t see a microphone here, right-click on the track, click Customize and then drag the microphone icon down to your track. Now, right-click on the track again, click “Voice-Over record settings” and change the Source to the correct microphone. You can test this by looking at the audio meter while making weird snapping sound to see if it reacts. Now close the window, click the microphone icon on the track where you want to start the recording, and then click on the microphone icon again to stop the recording, and then your recording will show up in your timeline. How to record voiceover in Adobe Premiere Pro 2023. It is very simple, first prepare your sequence, your Graphics, Clips Etc. And then find the audio track where you want your voice-over to be. You see this microphone here. Hover on it, and it will say “voice-over record” All you have to do is click on it and there is a countdown. Now the recording begins, you can see here that the cursor is moving but nothing is happening. In fact, Adobe Premiere is recording, but it is in the background. Once you are done with your recording, either press the stop button here, or your space bar. Then you will be done like so. And then your voiceover appears in your timeline. I've made many videos on how to gradually increase or decrease audio volume in Premiere Pro. After many years of practice, I've found the fastest & easiest way to gradually change the audio volume by using shortcut key on Premiere Pro. Move your cursor on the track near to the microphone's symbol & hold the Alt key & turn your mouse Wheel upwards to expand the audio track. Then, press the P key on your keyboard to activate the Pen Tool.
